Rain hit the twin cities Saturday afternoon. While this could have easily crushed dreams of a picture perfect outing at an apple orchard, we didn’t let it kill our buzz. My sister suggested we take my daughter, Peach (2.5) bowling for the first time. We went to an old favorite from our childhood, County Club Lanes in Tonka Bay, MN.
It’s a great place to go with a toddler. Not too big or crazy. You won’t need to run a half mile across every lane chasing your little one.
The staff was very accommodating for us. They had bowling shoes her size. Note: the smallest size they have is Toddler sz 6. They even had a 4lb pink bowling ball for her!
She had a blast learning how to roll her ball “granny style” as my sister and I grew up referring to it as or using the ramp. I only think we had 2 underwear changes the whole trip! *sarcasm* More on our toilet training later.
